Reverse Osmosis (RO) uses a specialized membrane material that is selective about what it allows to pass through, and what it prevents from passing. The RO membranes pass water very easily because water has a small molecular size, but membranes stop many other contaminants from passing through. Only water and small non-ionized (or non-charged) molecules are allowed to pass through. RO has become very popular for water purification applications due to its ability to remove both suspended and dissolved impurities without the need for regenerant chemicals. Pressure sand filter with acf system

Filtration is the most frequently used, robust method to remove suspended solids from water. The Filter consists of a multiple layer of sand/ Filter Media with a variety in size and specific gravity. The Filters are designed to remove turbidity and suspended particles present in the feed water with minimum pressure drop.

The Activated carbon Filters are designed to remove free chlorine, organic matter, odour and Colour present in the raw water and waste water.

Due to its high degree of micro porosity, activated carbons provide a huge surface area. Activated carbon filter operates through adsorption. Adsorption is directly related to the surface area of the media. This great surface area furnishes a huge adsorption area for organic as well as chlorine molecules to attach themselves

PROCESS DESCRIPTION:-
The water passes through the Activated carbon filter, the filter media consist of activated granular carbon. Activated carbon adsorbs onto its surface free chlorine, organic compounds, colour and odour. The activated carbon bed is supported by a multilayer graved bed. The activated carbon bed is also backwashed at fixed intervals to dislodge any accumulated dirt particles.

Clarifier

Circular Mechanical Clarifiers for Wastewater Treatment. Clarification is the oldest and most widely used operation in the effective treatment of wastewater. Mechanical Clarifiers in the activated sludge process serve a dual purpose. they must provide a clarified effluent and a concentrated source of return sludge for maintaining process control, removing sediment, turbidity, and floating material from wastewater.

Adequate area and depth is essential to allow the aeration tank effluent (MLSS) to settle and compact without carryover of solids in the clarified effluent. PCS provides clarifiers up to 28’ in diameter.

Flocculators

Flocculators are custom designed for all your flocculation needs. Energy is transferred into water through the use of paddle wheels which promote particle agglomeration to form large, fast-settling floc particles.

DAF unit

DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) technology is effective in reduction of floating matter, oil & grease, color and suspended solids, which in terms reduces BOD & COD. So it is widely used in vegetable oil and food industry for reduction of oil & grease and biological matter, textile or dyeing & bleaching industry for reduction in color, BOD, COD & TSS and also in paint booth for reduction in color & TSS.

The DAF technology introduces air from the atmosphere to the surface of a tank by using air & water mixture under suitable pressure. When the pressure is released in the DAF Unit, millions of micro bubbles adhere to the surface of the suspended matter and help to coalesce the oil or solids and bring it to surface.

MFS unit

MFS media filtration system utilizes variable flow controls, media-filled cartridges, and a storage sump to capture and retain a broad spectrum of pollutants.Media filters are used to remove particulate matter from water. There are several types of media filters, including gravity and pressure filters.It’s filtration is a well-established technology and is a standard system used in water treatment.It permits delivery of high quality filtered water at much higher flow rates, as compared to a conventional sand filter.The filters allow for flexibility in water treatment applications.The system is comprised of one or more structures that house rechargeable, media-filled cartridges which trap particulates and adsorb materials such as dissolved metals, hydrocarbons, and nutrients in polluted runoff.

Water Softening Plant

WATER SOFTENING PROCESS :-

Softening is the ion exchange process, it is done through resin, the most common and probably the easiest method of removing hardness (that is calcium and magnesium) from water and suitable for utility purpose. As the name implies ion exchange is a process in which undesirable ions are exchanged for more desirable ions. The softening process consists of passing raw water containing hardness through a bed of cation resin in sodium form. The hardness ions Ca & Mg are taken up by resin and in exchange, the sodium ions are relinquished from the resin. This is called the service cycle, where the hard water is being softened.
